SHAHAR KOL

Dr. Shahar Kol graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. He earned his MD title (Cum Laude) in 1983. Dr. Kol had his internship at Rambam Medical Center, Haifa, Israel, where he continued his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After successful completion of the requirements of the Israeli Board of Medical Sciences, he was certified as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Following his certification, Dr. Kol pursued a position as a fellow in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Maryland at the Baltimore School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Under the mentorship of professor Eli Y. Adashi he completed within a two year period a significant amount of high quality scientific work, part of which has been published in high-impact scientific journals (see list of publication). He also won the prestigious award of “Merck Senior Fellow” by the Endocrine Society in 1994.

Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Kol returned to Rambam Medical Center as an attending physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Currently, Dr. Kol is the director of the In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Unit, at Rambam Medical Center. In July 2013, Dr. Kol was nomilated as Assistant Professor, Faculty of Medicine, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
